In order to make a website, you need 2 things - your own domain name and a hosting plan for it. The domain registration is the actual web address that you type in an Internet browser to reach a website, while the hosting space is where your website data will be. These are 2 tightly related, but separate services, while many people assume that registering the domain name is enough. Just like the disk space and the monthly traffic features that a given website hosting plan provides, there are a certain number of registered domain names that you can include as hosted i.e. you can have the web content for them in some account even if the domains are actually registered through a different service provider. In technical terms, it doesn't matter whether a domain name is registered and hosted with the exact same company or is registered with one company and pointed to another - in either case your sites will function the very same way.

Hosted Domains in Shared Website Hosting

The shared website hosting packages we provide allow you to host a different amount of domain names. That way, you can choose what package to purchase and how much to spend depending on your needs. If you want to host more domains at some point than the number the current package allows you to, you can effortlessly upgrade the entire package or even keep the same one and only add more slots for hosted domains. If you decide to use the registration services of a different company, you will be able to see the name servers you need to set for your domains so that you can direct them to our cloud platform in the Hosted Domains section of the CP on our end. If you prefer to have everything in 1 spot, however, there's no limit for the number of domain addresses which you can register/transfer within your account whatever the hosting plan that you have picked. Then you could decide if you'll host any of them or you'll forward them to other existing domains.
